“One
of the best decisions that have ever done was getting LASIK with Dr. Joel
Confino. Pre-procedure, I was 28 years old at the time, nearsighted and had
been wearing glasses/contacts since middle school. I was always curious and
wanted to see if I even qualified for LASIK or any eye corrective procedure. I
had so many questions so I scheduled a free consultation at The Eye Care & Surgery
Center in the Westfield location. On the day of the consultation, I spent
approximately 2 hours at the office where I underwent extensive tests (tear
production test etc.) – nothing was painful but my eyes were dilated for the
rest of the day (approximately 10 hours so make sure you wear sun glasses if
you plan on being outdoors). My procedure was done a month later in the late
evening (7 PM). In total, the procedure took 20 minutes from start to finish.
They do procedures in the evening so you can go to work the same day (and not
miss any days). I drove myself to my follow up appointment the next morning. My
only regret was not getting this done sooner! Today, I have 20/20 vision!
The staff was very professional, pleasant, and informative especially Jerette
Lerner who is the Director of the Surgical Program. The staff goes above and
beyond to make their patients comfortable. Thank you for all that you do!"
